Lip Enhancements
As we age our lips get thinner and lose their shape. Fine lines can form around the lips and at the corners. Lip enhancement restores the fullness to the lips or where the upper area of the lip, known as the cupid’s bow, has started to flatten and lose its fullness. Lines and wrinkles can cause lipstick to bleed down vertical lines reducing the impact of the lips. A special formulation of Restylane®, known as LIPP, is used to treat these areas.
Typically the results last 6-9 months. Treatment involves injecting the filler into the area to be treated after first providing pain relief with either local anaesthetic cream or a local anaesthetic injection to remove any discomfort. Most patients repeat the treatment after 6-9 months.
