Treatments
As part of the natural ageing process our skin loses its elasticity and becomes thinner. This results in a loss of tension, and combined with the loss of fat results in unsightly wrinkles. Many factors influence this such as smoking, exposure to sun, genetics and pollution.
Generally there are two types of wrinkles, those that appear during facial movement (dynamic) and those that are present at rest (static). Dynamic wrinkles are usually treated with muscle relaxing injections such as Botox® whilst static wrinkles with a dermal filler such as hyaluronic acid.
